Itai Asher-Meir

Itai Asher-Meir first encounter with world of magic was through the result of an accident that left him in a coma for one week and a further year in hospital. He discovered magic in hospital when amongst the many presents he received was a magic set. He then started reading books and developing his magic skills. He became so successful that the media heard about him and through write-ups in local papers he became one of Israel's most loved and established magicians.

He has helped develop other artists including "Chris Crazy" the world renowned drag performer, and has been involved in the creation of many Israeli shows.

Itai was the first Israeli to catch a live bullet in his bare hand and thus received the nick name "The Phenomenon". He also was the first Israeli to perform David Copperfield's laser illusion in his own unique way.

In the year 2000 he was invited to perform at the Tokyo American club in Japan for the millennium celebrations. At the Cannes festival he was the main attraction and as a result of his performance was asked to appear on the 'E' channel.

Today he sees magic as a way of life and brings to his show, "Phenomenon", unforgettable magic moments, that interlace his whole theory on life.
